Abstract
⺠Astrocytes efficiently accumulate copper. ⺠Astrocytes have the capacity to store and to export copper. ⺠An elevated copper content modulates the astrocytic metabolism. ⺠Copper stimulates glutathione synthesis and export from astrocytes. ⺠Astrocytes are considered to supply neurons with copper.
