Abstract
⺠Endoplasmic reticulum stress markers are low in high-glucose astrocyte cultures. ⺠Streptozotocin-diabetic rat brain exhibits modest expression of selected markers. ⺠Diabetic astrocytes and brain do not express selected nitrosative stress markers. ⺠Brain and astrocytes are relatively resistant to diabetes-induced ER stress.
