Abstract
⺠Neonicotinoids mimic acetylcholine action on nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. ⺠Formamidines mimic octopamine action by acting on octopamine receptors. ⺠Both neonicotinoids and formamidines cause olfactory dysfunction in honeybees. ⺠Disruption in neuronal biogenic amines mediated signaling generates ROS formation. ⺠Excess ROS formation impairs olfactory function in honeybees, which may cause CCD.
