Abstract
⺠Cellular factor XIII is involved in optic nerve regeneration. ⺠Transient increase of cFXIII levels in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) promotes neurite sprouting from injured RGCs. ⺠Sustained increase of cFXIII in optic nerves facilitates neurite elongation from regrowing axons.
