Abstract
► Cellular factor XIII is involved in optic nerve regeneration. ► Transient increase of cFXIII levels in retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) promotes neurite sprouting from injured RGCs. ► Sustained increase of cFXIII in optic nerves facilitates neurite elongation from regrowing axons.
