Abstract
⺠Regulation of astrocytic e-5NT by TNF-α, LPS, IFN-γ, Glu and H2O2 is investigated. ⺠LPS, IFN-γ, Glu and H2O2 decrease, whereas TNF-α increases e-5NT activity. ⺠LPS, IFN-γ and Glu down-regulate e-5NT, while H2O2 modulates its enzymatic efficiancy. ⺠TNF-α increases e-5NT protein abundance, without alteration in mRNA expression level.
