Abstract
⺠Sarcosine preconditioning reduced cell death in hippocampal slices after OGD. ⺠Sarcosine preconditioning decreased release of excitotoxic mediators during OGD. ⺠Sarcosine preconditioning reduced ROS production in hippocampal slices after OGD. ⺠Sarcosine preconditioning did not alter hippocampal antioxidant capacity. ⺠Sarcosine preconditioning induced ischemic tolerance in hippocampal slices.
