Abstract
► Electroconvulsive therapy acutely increases blood glucose and cholesterol levels. ► Electroconvulsive therapy does not affect on LDL, HDL, triglyceride, and creatinine level. ► The ECT related increase of blood glucose is independent of the type of psychiatric disorder.
