Abstract
⺠OCTN1/SLC22A4 is functionally expressed in the brain. ⺠OCTN1 is localized in both neuronal cell bodies and dendrites. ⺠Inhibition of OCTN1 increases intracellular oxidative stress. ⺠Inhibition of OCTN1 promotes cellular proliferation. ⺠Inhibition of OCTN1 suppresses neuronal differentiation and/or maturation.
