Abstract
► The plasma membrane glycine transporter is phosphorylated in response to PKCβ activation. ► PKCα/β are responsible for regulation of glycine transport by GlyT1. ► GlyT1 phosphorylation is transient and follows a bell shape-like behavior. ► Transporter phosphorylation is independent of ubiquitination.
