Abstract
⺠Pathological PrP27-30 from infected hamster brains forms pores in lipid bilayer. ⺠PrP27-30 pore conductance is larger than that observed for the recombinant PrP90-231. ⺠A critical role of calcium ions promoting PrP and membrane interaction is underlined.
