Abstract
⺠Blood vessels influence pancreas organogenesis and differentiation of its cell lineages. ⺠Aortic endothelial cells are required for early endocrine specification. ⺠Blood vessels suppress later pancreatic branching and exocrine differentiation. ⺠Understanding how blood vessels impact the developing pancreas and identifying candidate signals may improve replacement and regenerative therapies for diabetes.
