Abstract
⺠The bipotential hemangioblast paradigm has shifted to “hemogenic endothelium”. ⺠Hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) embryonic origins can be traced to specialized endothelium. ⺠Critical factors for both arterial identity and HSC emergence are required for endothelium to become “hemogenic”.
