Abstract
⺠The Netherlands is a very low endemic country for HAV infection. ⺠Importation of HAV in children returning from highly endemic countries is common. ⺠We describe trends in the incidence of HAV by ethnic group in Amsterdam. ⺠Incidence is high in Dutch-born cases of Moroccan or non-western ethnic backgrounds. ⺠These children could be routinely offered single dose, HAV vaccination at 14 months.
