Abstract
► We develop HPV transmission models differing in assumptions about natural immunity. ► Herd immunity effect of Australian HPV vaccination program predicted for each model. ► The effect is much more pronounced under plausible but rarely used models. ► Evaluations of impact of vaccination should consider multiple model structures.
