Abstract
⺠We have investigated the efficacy of defensins to induce cellular immune response. ⺠We have analyzed T-cell proliferation and CD8+/CD4+ cytolytic property. ⺠We have also analyzed Th1/Th2 cytokine and β-chemokine production. ⺠Defensins might be responsible for the induction of cell mediated immunity. ⺠Defensins have a potential role as mucosal adjuvant.
