Abstract
⺠Low cost vaccines at the market are urgently needed to fight neglected tropical diseases. ⺠Plant-based vaccines (PBV) provide both low cost production and optimal oral delivery of vaccines. ⺠Advances on developing PBV against rabies, cysticercosis, dengue and helminthiasis are presented. ⺠Future perspectives for this field are identified.
