Abstract
⺠The total incidence of secondary care rotavirus gastroenteritis (RVGE) was estimated. ⺠Unspecific cases prevented by the vaccine programme were assumed to be RVGE. ⺠The total incidence of secondary care RVGE cases among <1 yoa was 10.5/1000 pyrs. ⺠The incidence of laboratory confirmed RVGE cases among <1 yoa was 4.9/1000 pyrs. ⺠At the directly targeted age, the effectiveness against confirmed RVGE was 97%.
