⺠High quality innovative vaccines save lives and support efficient health systems. ⺠Improved understanding of microbial pathogenesis and immune responses have accelerated vaccine research. ⺠Alliances between companies, academia and public partners foster vaccine development. ⺠Of the 374 products in development for neglected diseases, 201 are vaccines. ⺠Vaccine policies should support intellectual property and competitive markets.
