Abstract
⺠We examine 3 different immunization schedules for a serogroup C conjugate vaccine. ⺠A 3-dose schedule (doses 2, 4 and 12 months of age) provided optimal protection. ⺠Substantial protection from a 2-dose schedule (2 months and 12 months of age). ⺠Subjects were protected after 12 month dose. Priming favored high titer responses. ⺠A 2-dose schedule may be an effective alternative for infant immunization programs.
