Abstract
⺠Positively charged nanoparticulate systems were compared as vaccine carriers. ⺠S. equi antigens were incorporated in liposomes and chitosan nanoparticles. ⺠Formulations were given i.n. to mice and elicited humoral and cellular responses. ⺠Increased sIgA in lungs was obtained specially with mucoadhesive chitosan particles. ⺠Both formulations induced Th1 and Th2 responses.
