Abstract
⺠The determinants of childhood vaccines underutilization were studied in ultraorthodox Jewish communities. ⺠Parental religious beliefs against vaccination correlated with under-immunization. ⺠Mistrust in the Ministry of Health increased the risk of vaccines underutilization. ⺠Perceiving the risk of vaccine preventable diseases as low also correlated with under-immunization. ⺠Some determinants of under-immunization are modifiable by means of health education.
