Abstract
⺠Two Lactobacillus strains were studied for use as adjuvants in a heat-killed Salmonella Typhimurium vaccine challenge model. ⺠Lactobacillus fermentum PC2 inclusion in the vaccine program led to enhanced humoral antibody responses. ⺠L. fermentum PC2, which demonstrated higher coaggregation index in vitro afforded better in vivo protection. ⺠Both Lactobacillus strains exhibited similar binding to Peyer's patches in vitro.
