Abstract
⺠Evidence-based decision making has increasingly been applied to assess the value of vaccines. ⺠Distinct ethical considerations apply to policy decisions regarding preventive measures. ⺠Policy decisions that lack an ethical foundation can engender public resistance. ⺠We propose an approach to including ethics in vaccine decisions to promote effective policy making.
