Abstract
⺠An anthrax vaccine was produced by conjugating the capsule to a protein carrier. ⺠The anthrax capsule conjugate vaccine induced opsono-adherence antibodies. ⺠The capsule conjugate vaccine protected monkeys against inhalational anthrax. ⺠The capsule is the first non-toxin antigen shown to protect monkeys against anthrax.
