Abstract
⺠A large cohort study to examine effectiveness of pneumococcal polysaccharide vaccine (PPV). ⺠The results suggested vaccination of PPV at age â¥65 may reduce risk of pneumococcal bacteremia. ⺠The findings suggested PPV might not provide adequate protection against all-cause pneumonia hospitalization among men.
