Abstract
⺠First report of a clinical trial of a vaccine to prevent Ross River virus disease. ⺠Vero cell culture-derived inactivated RRV vaccine is safe and well tolerated. ⺠Three doses of a 2.5 μg aluminum hydroxide-adjuvanted formulation is optimal. ⺠Induces antibody titers associated with protection from disease in >90% of subjects. ⺠Data suggest that vaccine will effectively prevent Ross River virus disease.
