Abstract
⺠A pneumococcal conjugate vaccine PS14-PspA was tested in mice. ⺠PspA was modified by reaction with formaldehyde before conjugation. ⺠PspA modification improved the conjugation yield. ⺠Protective epitopes of both components were not compromised by the reactions.
