Abstract
⺠We design a quality assay for vaccine potency tests. ⺠We compare existing foot-and-mouth disease vaccine potency tests with alternatives. ⺠The current European Pharmacopoeia test does not take advantage of domain knowledge. ⺠A new test is designed combining the advantages of current tests with fewer animals. ⺠This test could be used as the quality standard for future serological tests.
