Abstract
⺠We engineered a construct for expressing in plants a truncated version of the glycoprotein E2 (tE2). ⺠We have transiently expressed the recombinant tE2 in tobacco leaves by agroinfiltration. ⺠When subcutaneously administrated the recombinant tE2 we have expressed it has induced an immune response in guinea pigs. ⺠We are analyzing, the development of a plant-made vaccine against BVDV.
