Abstract
⺠Viral contamination of cell lines can occur due to bovine serum and porcine trypsin. ⺠PCV1 was recently reported in a rotavirus vaccine due to cell line contamination. ⺠We used sensitive PCR and infectivity assays to test various cell lines for PCV1. ⺠There was no evidence of PCV1 in the test cell lines relevant for human vaccines.
