Abstract
⺠Most long-term care HBV outbreaks have been linked to unsafe diabetes care. ⺠We assessed response to HBV vaccine among susceptible residents during 2 outbreaks. ⺠Residents were elderly (median age 80) with multiple comorbidities. ⺠Overall, 34% (29/86) achieved anti-HBs levels â¥10 mIU/ml after a 3-dose series. ⺠Seroprotection rates were not associated with diabetes status or demographics.
