Abstract
⺠We reviewed the impact of vaccine introduction on immunization and health systems. ⺠Existing vaccine delivery platforms and combination vaccines were most efficient. ⺠New vaccine introductions aided development of widespread vaccine safety policies. ⺠New vaccine introduction was often associated with lower health care costs. ⺠Future introductions should include health/immunization system impact assessments.
