Abstract
⺠We model how delayed treatment of infections can work as a vaccination. ⺠Increasing the delay between infection and treatment leads to increasing the extent the vaccination provides protection but decreases the reduction in pathology. ⺠We explore how this “tradeoff” between vaccination and reduced pathology depends on the features of the pathogen and immune response.
