Abstract
⺠Artificial ribonucleases (aRNases) do inactivate the influenza A virus. ⺠The most active 3 aRNases display low cytotoxicity. ⺠These aRNases affect minimally the affinity of monoclonal antibodies for viral particles. ⺠The aRNases cause degradation of viral RNA. ⺠A high protective activity of the aRNase-inactivated virus as a vaccine was demonstrated.
