Abstract
► Artificial ribonucleases (aRNases) do inactivate the influenza A virus. ► The most active 3 aRNases display low cytotoxicity. ► These aRNases affect minimally the affinity of monoclonal antibodies for viral particles. ► The aRNases cause degradation of viral RNA. ► A high protective activity of the aRNase-inactivated virus as a vaccine was demonstrated.
