Abstract
⺠A postmarketing study evaluated the safety of LAIV in children 5-17 years of age. ⺠43,702 LAIV recipients were matched with TIV-vaccinated and unvaccinated children. ⺠Rates of medically attended events (MAEs) were calculated for eligible children. ⺠Medically attended event rate differences did not suggest a safety signal with LAIV in eligible children. ⺠Rates of SAEs were similar between LAIV and control groups.
