Abstract
⺠We examined the progress towards elimination of rubella and CRS in Central Europe. ⺠The MMR vaccine has been introduced with varying schedules in all European countries. ⺠In 2009 Poland and Romania reported the highest incidence of rubella in Europe. ⺠Laboratory confirmation of reported rubella cases in Central Europe is not adequate. ⺠Recommended MMR dosage: first at 12-15 months of age; second at 21 months-13 years.
