Abstract
⺠A mumps IgG test was adapted to identify subclinical cases in vaccinated persons. ⺠Oral fluid was used to account for the sampling constrains during an outbreak. ⺠The number of subclinical infections during a large mumps outbreak was assessed. ⺠We estimate three asymptomatic infections for each symptomatic vaccinated case.
