Abstract
► Contacts with children were associated with a reduction in the risk of zoster in adulthood. ► Risk of zoster was reduced by 44% in adults with contact with children. ► There is a dose-response relationship between children exposure and zoster. ► Zoster vaccination in ≥50 years could counteract negative effects of childhood varicella vaccination.
