Relationship between the measured friction coefficients of floors on a horizontal surface and on a 10° ramp

Friction measurement results reported, using slipmeters on ramps, need to be adjusted to indicate true friction at the footwear-floor interface. This article reports how adjustments can be made for the readings reported by the Brungraber Mark II slipmeter on 10° ramps.
