Abstract
- We evaluated test characteristics for the detection of bovine cysticercosis.
- ELISA based on excretory/secretory antigen showed high sensitivity and specificity.
- An estimate of the standard European Union meat inspection procedure is provided.
- Results indicate a high contact rate of dairy cows with Taenia saginata.
