Abstract
⺠Age and community of residence are strong risk factors for mixed Schistosoma infection. ⺠The age distribution of Schistosoma mansoni differs from that of Schistosoma haematobium. ⺠Infection intensities are higher in mixed Schistosoma than in single infections. ⺠Infection intensities are highest in mixed infections with ectopic egg elimination.
