Abstract
- Tiger pufferfish and its congener show differential susceptibility to a monogenean.
- We investigated host genetic architecture underlying the host specificity.
- Genome-wide QTL analyses were completed on F2 hybrids of two pufferfishes.
- We detected different sets of host QTLs for early and later periods of infection.
- Distinct genome regions may be responsible for different periods of infection.
