Abstract
⺠Praziquantel causes a burst of parasite antigen and resulting oxidative stress. ⺠Curcumin was given to O. viverrini-infected hamsters with praziquantel treatment. ⺠Curcumin induced Nrf2 expression and suppression of NF-κB-mediated pathways. ⺠Thus curcumin exerts a protective effect on oxidative stress caused by praziquantel.
