Abstract
► Binding of ATP leads to conformational changes within Py235 from Plasmodium yoelli. ► The erythrocyte binding domain (EBD) of Py235, called EBD1-194, has been identified. ► The interplay of the sensing nucleotide-binding domain and the EBD domain in Py235 is discussed. ► A model of the Py235-receptor complex is proposed.
