Abstract
⺠Natural populations of Theileria annulata show extensive diversity. ⺠Evidence of panmixia with linkage disequilibrium detected in some localities. ⺠Individual cattle are infected with a number of genotypes. ⺠Multiplicity of infection positively correlates with age of host.
