Abstract
⺠Miltefosine is effective against the different developmental stages of Schistosoma mansoni. ⺠Miltefosine is effective in a multiple dose regimen course for 5 days. ⺠Miltefosine is a promising lead compound for synthesis of novel anti-schistosomal derivatives. ⺠Miltefosine can be used as an alternative anti-schistosomal agent whenever resistance to praziquantel is reported.
