Abstract
► We explore the factors influencing perceptions of journal quality in two disciplines. ► Perceived quality is significantly positively correlated with impact factors. ► Perceived quality is not significantly correlated with technical delay. ► Perceived quality is not significantly correlated with immediacy index. ► Slightly different results are also found between the two fields.
