Abstract
The Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVGTSL), a member of the American Library Association’s Council of Regional Groups, became a formal organization in 1924 and continues to meet to this day. This article provides a history of this group, and, in doing so, traces trends and issues in library technical services for cataloging, acquisitions, serials, and many other topics of interest to librarians for more than eight decades.
