Abstract
A quantitative elasto-chemical phase-field model is presented. The challenge to avoid the falsification of the energetics in the diffuse interface (excess energy) is mastered by the usage of the appropriate thermodynamic potentials. Based on the mechanical jump conditions at the coherent interface between two elastically isotropic materials, the calculation of the required elastic fields is simplified to increase the computational efficiency. The model is verified using an analytical solution for the Eshelby problem.
