Abstract
Search of the chemical literature reveals that the limiting apparent molal volumes for l-valine dissolved in water differ significantly from published literature values. The calculated limiting apparent molal volumes reported by Moradian and coworkers [J. Mol. Liq., in press, doi:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.molliq.2018.08.027] were Ïvoâ¯=â¯â145.8768â¯cm3â¯molâ1 and Ïvoâ¯=â¯â273.5163â¯cm3â¯mol-1 at 308.15â¯K and 318.15 K, respectively. Published literature values were in the range of about Ïvoâ¯=â¯90â¯cm3â¯molâ1 to Ïvoâ¯=â¯92â¯cm3â¯molâ1.
